Adolfo told me that his trips to Marte and the Cuatrocienegas desert proved too much for his van. It broke down from internal engine problems several hours from Piedras Negras on a return trip. He was forced to sell the van and is asking for a pick-up which is more appropriate for roads that he is now having to drive on. Some of you know that Dr. Albert Romo of Harvest Ministries has had similar experience on the desert roads. He has been working in the Ocampo region where the roads are unpaved, rough, and brutal on a vehicle. He also depends on pick-ups. We must keep the missions station that Adolfo has built supplied. There is a pastor there now, and he needs the support that Adolfo and his team bring in.
Adolfo sent some pictures featuring the roads that he has to drive on along with a picture of a suggested truck that would be worthy of the challenge. Missions work is not cheap, but it is necessary to establish the Kingdom. We understand that the ultimate ministry is worship, but missions is necessary to raise up disciples who worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth.
