Children are always on the Lord’s mind. His calling to the Apostle Peter alluded heavily to his profound care for his little lambs. The world is a harsh place to grow up in at best, but in neighborhoods that are rife with drugs, alcoholism, etc. it is even more difficult. It is into this world that Pedro and Fabiola work in conjunction with a feeding center in Piedras Negras to reach, teach, heal, and evangelize children. These precious ones are delighted to have some place to go to for fun and rest. Pedro and Fabiola bring refreshments, minister to the children, and teach them about the Kingdom of Heaven. Day or night the children come when the invitation goes out. Isaiah said 1 “Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk (without money and without price.” (Isaiah 55:1) Jesus is hope and peace despite this dark world. But no matter how dark it is, Jesus is Lord over all chaos, darkness, and despair. He loves these lambs and so do we.
