Pedro Evangelizes the villages near the ranch.

Pedro is feeling stronger. Thank you for praying for him. He has suffered from a gastric ulcer, and it has made it difficult for him to do all of his duties for a long time. Clinical medicine helped stabilize him, but the natural methods are proving to be gaining traction. The herbs are in the common pharmacopeia of the Christian Naturopath, and are legal, but the Golden-seal is relatively expensive. Again, thank you, Partners for helping us to be there for him through this illness. He and Fabiola are keeping up the Rancho Jovenes del Rey mission station that was originally built to be a boy’s home, but we were directed by the Lord to repurpose it into an organic farm for medicinal herbs/vegetables, and as a station from which to evangelize the families of the surrounding villages. Other posts describe the work.

Pedro and Fabiloa have been calling on the residents of the area, offering them food, bicycles, cleaning supplies, prayer, ministry, and natural medicine in response to the opportunities that they find. The need is great, and the willingness of the people to hear from God is more encouraging than I have seen since I have been on the mission field. Having someone care enough to bring dinner, simple as it may be, is an act of love that is being welcomed. It is not uncommon for families living in the villages to subsist on one meal per day, so having someone bring even simple food is a welcome gift from heaven! The mission team prays with the people, blesses them, and teaches as much Gospel as they are able to absorb. We plant the seed and look for Jesus to bring the harvest. God Bless you, Partners!
