Felipe is the administrator our mission stations in Mexico. These include the campus in El Moral, known as Casa del Rey; The house in Piedras Negras that we use as the ministry office, the church, and seminars, Casa Jovenes del Rey; and the Ranch across a river that barely shows up on the map from Jimenez, called Rancho Jovenes del Rey. By way of explanation, each of these stations were built as children’s homes, and we enjoyed that wonderful ministry for thirty years. Government regulations changed, such that we were not allowed to have custody of children and at the same time evangelize them, but we are in Mexico to evangelize. So we closed the homes and became a full on evangelistic ministry. Felipe pastors the church associated with the ministry. it is called Pacto De Paz (Covenant of Peace). Felipe is studying English in university while he teaches English on behalf of two universities in Piedras Negras. He coordinates the activities of the teams on behalf of Hungry Kids International, including distribution of the support and stipends of the missionaries.
Felipe took some of his congregation to minister on the streets of Piedras Negras. They provided food, taught, preached, and prayed for the people who gathered. Felipe preached a salvation message and gave an alter call. The people responded warmly and were grateful that someone cared enough to reach out to them with both and tangible and spiritual help.
