Dr. Albert Romo and his wife, Alice have been distributing Bibles and Christian literature in Mexico for several years. They are not doing the distribution alone since there are many pastors and evangelists who are eager to receive these resources and use them to evangelize and make disciples. Much of the work has been done in Northern Mexico, but with the recent trips into Chiapas, several other pastors and workers from that area are receiving Bibles and literature to help them evangelize in Southern Mexico. There is more of an openness toward the Gospel in some places due to a change in the spiritual atmosphere. There is clearly a warfare raging in the heavenly realms over the souls of multitudes. Harvest Ministries is always looking for a steady supply of Bibles and Christian literature.
Dr. Romo is pictured preaching/teaching in a village Church in the Lacandon region. The door opener for the evangelists is the health message. There are vast areas where the Gospel is forbidden under penalty of death, but the health message is welcome, since the people are in such need of medical care. In the process of teaching about how to maintain and recover health, the news that Jesus, the Great Physician, the Water of Life, the Bread of Life, the Way, the Truth, and the Life can easily be shared. Prayer for the sick in the name of Jesus is also accepted, since the prayers will not work in any other name.
We will not share pictures of the evangelists over the internet, since it would compromise their work and put them in danger. None the less, they are hard working and dedicated to the ministry of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. Dr. Romo told me the story of one of these evangelists. He is a former drug addict, who was saved and delivered. He knows what the poor, addicted, and oppressed people have to deal with every day, so he ministers to them through the anointing that healed him. The Gospel is for the poor, the blind, the lame, those with incurable diseases, and the dead who are raised according to Matt. 11:5 and Luke 7:22.
Harvest Ministries is doing wonderful work in teaching, preaching, and demonstrating the Gospel. We are not finished when converts are discipled. Jesus commanded that we disciple nations (Matt. 28: 19). We have work to do! Thank you for helping us spread the Gospel.
