Pedro and Fabiola are enjoying success in educating adult members of the community in Christian natural methods for improving and maintaining health. The couple are medical missionaries, so their objective is to reach families with the Gospel. It is particularly important to influence and gain the support of the Fathers as head of household so that the entire family is exposed to the Gospel through eight laws of health teaching. All healing that truly is healing comes from God. The Body is designed to repair and rejuvenate itself if it is protected from harm and given what it needs. One of the dimensions of healing is spiritual. Our breath is a gift of the Holy Spirit from God to Humanity. Psalm 104 27-30 tells us:
27 These all look to you,to give them their food in due season. 28 When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things. 29 When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. 30 When you send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground. Psalms 104:27-30 (ESV)
Our bodies and souls are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139: 14 ESV) Everything that the body needs to survive and thrive was available in the garden of Eden. Though the nutrition available to us is not on par with the Edenic garden, and good nutrition is not as easy as eating fruit from the many trees of the garden, with knowledge of nutrition, it is possible to make good diet choices which support long life. Good nutrition also heals many degenerative diseases. Our bodies also need pure air, clean water, rest… You get the picture. These courses are not about becoming doctors. They are teaching how to make good choices, and trusting God for his gift of healing. Natural choices are necessary, but not sufficient. We must draw our life from God. The book of Romans goes on to teach that the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Parents who find Jesus bring with them children who want to find Jesus. Further, When the parents love the Lord, the conversions of the children are much more stable than what we see from simple child evangelism. We must develop means of discipleship in order to establish the kingdom of God. We are prayerfully working toward this end in Mexico where we work. God Bless you.
