Harvest Ministries [Harvest Health International Ministries] is one of our associate ministries. Dr. Romo sent his most recent newsletter for publication. They are based in Allende, Coah., Mexico and operate without a non-profit organization. They have authorized us to represent their ministry, and we are honored to do so. They are medical missionaries, but their ministry is not limited to the medical field. Because of their ability to teach and practice medicine they are accepted into areas that other missionaries are not able to enter. Their work extends from Piedras Negras to southern Chiapas. Their other projects include medical agriculture (which our own Pedro is an active instructor), Children’s ministry, and mercy to indigents and immigrants (particularly families with children).
Ministry to immigrants is politically and emotionally charged, but even though we (including our staff and associates) are no more pleased with the streams of humanity seeking to illegally enter the USA, they are people for whom Jesus died, and they are due mercy and an introduction to the Gospel. A surprising number of them are conservatives who are desperate to escape communist or cartel controlled communities. That fact will surprise the forces that are trying to collapse the US system via the Cloward and Piven strategy (look it up). Jesus is Lord and the troubles that we face in the USA are limited by the divine hand of the Lord. He is shaking everything that can be shaken, but at the same time he is preserving his own people who are dwelling under the Blood of Jesus in the secret place of the Most High. The things that used to work for us as believers will not be enough to deliver us from the shocks that are coming, but as we press closer into the Lord we will be given the stamina, wisdom, strategy, and supply necessary to make it through. This is the meaning of Luke 21:36 “But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
