Our staff is trained in Naturopathy. Pedro and Fabiola are Medical Missionaries as well as the other forms of evangelism that they do. The health teaching is based on eight laws of health that must be followed in order to remain healthy and to recover when illness comes. When God placed Adam in the garden he gave him the perfect environment including: Good nutrition, exercise, pure water, sunshine, self control, pure air, rest, and faith in God. Though we no longer live in the garden of Eden, God has made a way for us to obtain the things that we need if we ask him for them. His word tells us that he knows what we need before we ask, but he still expects for us to ask him and seek his face. Health is complex, but it can be reduced to providing the body and soul with what they need while protecting them from harmful things.
There are many Bible lessons that spring from these concepts providing endless ways to present Jesus, who is the great physician, our provider, our advocate, the creator, the healer, the redeemer, etc. Every need that people have finds its solution in the anointed word of God. Even the captives and the oppressed can call on the Lord and be delivered. God still heals people who ask him for it.
Pedro and Fabiola have started with two students, but in order to scale up, they are in need of some equipment. They need a refrigerator, a stove, some classroom chairs, and some folding tables. The cost of these is similar in Mexico to prices in the USA. Help would be appreciated, since this is another wonderful avenue of evangelism, and our budget is limited. Orthodox Medicine (Allopathic: treating only symptoms) is limited in its effectiveness, and the cost continues to skyrocket, so people will increasingly be interested in alternatives. Natural medicine is not a substitute in crisis situations for treatment by qualified providers, but it puts much more control over health back into the hands of the people. Not everyone appreciates this, but there are many who do. Thank you for your prayers and support.
