Ramon and Norma have focused their efforts on reaching the immigrants who are pausing in Piedras Negras. They have come along side a pastor who has opened his church to the immigrants who need shelter. By the beginning of the month of April more than 6 million illegal aliens have crossed into the US. We do not know who they are or what their intentions are concerning this country. Most are probably just looking for a better life, but few are willing to become part of the America that God fearing US citizens know and love. This flood presents either an insurmountable problem or it is is an opportunity to evangelize previously unreached masses of people for the Kingdom of Heaven. The starting place is presenting the Gospel and teaching them about Jesus. When asked, most people from anywhere believe that they should be able to trade with others without government interference, keep the benefits of their production for their own family, and enjoy a life free from violence against them. These are conservative values. What is not generally acknowledged is that these are also consistent with ten commandment based law. Richard Maybury of Henry Madison Research (publisher of the Early Warning Report) teaches that Western Civilization is based on the principle: “Do all you have agreed to do, and do not encroach on other persons or their property” [Early Warning Report, Feb. 2023, Page 4]. The Gospel makes people free because it teaches them to act in accordance with the nature of God, obtaining his power to overcome evil with good.
The church with which our team is working provides a place to sleep in exchange for attendance in the worship services, but the people are expected to provide their own food, clothing, hygiene products, etc. Ramon and Norma provide many of these products. This gives them an opportunity to teach and preach the Gospel to people who are happy enough to listen. There are many who are responsive. Though we are only able to reach a fraction of the stream, we are at our station doing what the Lord asked us to do. Thank you for standing with us. God Bless you!
