Adolfo organizes the Christmas celebration, speaks to the town, and distributes the presents that he brought. Jesus does not mind that people celebrate his birthday, but he does expect to be invited to the celebration! We joyfully invite him, and thank the Father for sending his Son into the world. His advent and sacrifice are each and together the most valuable gift ever given in the history of the universe. His love is real, but he requires a response from us. It takes effort to receive the gift of justification by grace through faith, but it is worth every effort.
The village quickly cooperates and is soon celebrating.
