Cooking class does not sound impressive by itself, but these classes introduce the families to new kinds of recipes and ingredients that go beyond those that have been passed down for generations in the villages. Food can be either medicine or toxic, slowly weakening the body and subjecting it to inflammation and degenerative disease. Though vegetarian cooking is not popular in most circles, the knowledge of how to do it properly and what health goals can be achieved with it is important training. These ladies are learning basics of cooking outside of the traditional box. This makes improvements in family health possible in a way that would be unlikely by the use of pharmaceutical medicine alone. These are not medical classes, but food is one of the major foundations of health.
Bible teaching and worship are part of the activities. We thank God for the opportunity to meet community needs and spiritual needs of these wonderful people. Thank you partners for your support.
