Recently Dr. Romo and his wife, Alice hosted a meeting which included programs from the state Cultural Mission. The program teaches and demonstrates nutrition, small family gardening, soil preparation, bread and sweetbread making, basic to intermediate nursing, food preparation and conservation, music, carpentry, an electrician apprentice program, and a small business program. Mision Cultural is a government program, but Harvest Ministries controls the venue. We are grateful for the cooperation that we witnessed as the meetings came together, since the villages need the kind of training that was offered. There was no restriction on our freedom to worship, preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Above pictured is the first gathering of vocational classes. They will be having classes in food conservation, cooking, and baking on Mondays. Tuesdays, small family vegetable gardening; health education, blood pressure measurement, and vital signs will be taught on Thursdays. Everyone is excited about this. Bible teaching is part of the curriculum each meeting. Praise God for his favor and blessing. Thank you partners for helping us to support this work. Families are essential to the raising of children who love and fear God. This education is designed to raise the standard of living for the people of these surrounding villages.
