Adolfo is returning to a neighborhood that he worked three years ago. It was overrun by gangs, so he was forced to leave, but the Lord has sent him back. He plans to open a feeding center either in or near the neighborhood. This is still a dangerous place, but we go where the Lord sends us. The area got its name and reputation from the labyrinth like streets. It is easy to get lost in the neighborhood. We learned long ago while operating Children’s homes that though it is easy to evangelize children, the long lasting stability of those conversions are disappointing compared with conversions that are supported by the family, even allowing for an uncooperative man/father of the house. For that reason, we find street ministry in cooperation with the local churches to be fruitful and lasting.
Adolfo has a friend in the middle of this area who has a church with whom he can partner to evangelize this neighborhood. He will develop this mission field (as he customarily does) by building relationships with the local people, praying for them, meeting needs, preaching the Gospel, and teaching the Gospel of the Kingdom. Thank you for your prayers in support of this work.
