Evangelism to the crowds of immigrants is necessary and productive. We will not always have this opportunity. Please refer to the article that I published February 22, 2023 as “Wise counsel…” since it lays out the foundation for why we are spending so much of our time and resources on a situation that most Americans view as a nuisance. I know that this type of work is not popular, but I cannot fail to do it anyway without grieving the heart of the Lord. Ramon and Norma, Pedro and Fabiola, and Adolfo and Rosita are all engaged in projects to reach out to these people in a desperate attempt to reach them with the Gospel before they enter the USA.
Ramon and Norma are working with one of the local pastors in Piedras Negras to minister to the basic needs of these people and to reach as many of them as possible while they are in Mexico. The pastor provides a place for the visitors to sleep and eat, but the church does not provide food or supplies for their living needs, such as food, clothing, hygiene products, toiletries, etc. The guests are expected to attend church services in return for using the church building as a dormitory. Other ministries, including ours through Ramon and Norma provide the things that these people need and then we share the Gospel with them. It is possible for people to be religious and be associated with Jesus, but never know him or understand the Gospel (meaning they are unsaved). We present the problem of Sin, the Righteousness of Jesus, and the coming Judgement. We all need a savior and there is no savior other than Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith in him (his person, word, name, and his blood). Our team ministers to the needs of the people, ministers, the Gospel, and then ministers the application of the word through personal ministry prayer so that the lives of the people attending are changed by faith in Jesus.
Ramon is a capable administrator and a good medical missionary. Norma also has medical training, but she is also the most anointed evangelist we have on staff.
We thank you, Partners with all of our hearts for your prayers and support. Jesus is Lord, and we are going into the mission field that we are assigned by the Lord to work in by faith in his name.
