Roof and plumbing problems at Rancho Jovenes del Rey

Pedro reports A leak in the roof of the kitchen. The leak was discovered only after the recent rains started. The building is used as a kitchen, pantry, storage, and classroom for health lectures. The leak does not prevent use of the kitchen, but it does prevent use of the building for health related gatherings, lectures, or demonstrations to the public through classes. Pedro presented an estimate of $1,300 for repair and resealing the roof. We deeply appreciate the love that our partners have shown for this ministry over many years. Missionaries cannot go into the field unless they are sent, so thanks be to God for faithful partners who lovingly send support and their prayers.

Though the leak is enough to risk mold growth if it is unattended. Thank you for your prayers and support!

We have had dry, hot weather without significant rain for many months. This has caused shifts in the ground resulting in pipe breaks. Plumbing repairs are not as costly as the roof repair, but repair is a priority, since the flow of both well water and septic effluent are cut off. This makes an unsanitary situation at our mission station.

These pictures demonstrate the breaks in the well water system
Movement in the ground has caused a line separation at the septic tank. The attachment must be repaired, and in addition, the tank needs to be pumped out. I do not have estimates for these jobs, but the going price for septic pumping is $600. We appreciate your interest and prayers.
