A week or so after Betty returned from the hospital (where she was treated for Pneumonia) we were able to take this picture.
Betty and her late husband, Bob founded this ministry in 1980, moved to Eagle Pass. TX in 1985, and opened the first children’s home (Casa del Rey on June 2, 1996 (their wedding anniversary). The ministry focused for thirty years on providing Christian homes for children in Mexico until the homes closed in 2016 when the conditions changed in Mexico. From then on ministry became an evangelistic organization ministering to children, families, people on the street, immigrants, and villages deeper into Mexico. This is consistent with the original vision that Bob King, Sr. passed down to us. Pictured above, Bobby King serves as the President, and oversees all ministry activities. The staff on both sides of the border report to him, Also, interaction between the ministry and associated ministries flows through him. Betty King serves as Vice-President. She is involved in the communications with the partners, though she is often very tired (we appreciate your prayers for her). She retains the minister in charge role, since her anointing has not faded. Cindy Hall (Betty and Bob King, Sr.’s daughter) serves as assistant to both Bobby and Betty. She keeps the office functioning.
The staff: Bobby, Cindy, Felipe, Ramon, Norma, Pedro, and Fabiola (including Daniel Ortega who is part of the radio ministry team) are trained as Medical missionaries by the Instituto Medicina Pastoral (IMP). The government policies in response to the COVID19 outbreak disrupted the training before clinical internship could be implemented, but the staff is competent to practice as Medical Missionaries. We still have full access to the instructor (Dr. Albert Romo) by way of our association with his ministry organization known as, Harvest Ministries, A/K/A Harvest Health International Ministries.
Our partners know and love Betty King from the many years of faithful service to the Lord that she invested in the Kingdom of Heaven. She and her husband, Bob, Sr. saw miracle after miracle in the building of homes for Children, a school, and a Church. The children whom they raised are now raising their own children. Many of them still keep in touch, testifying of their respect for her and their love for the Lord who sent the Kings to Mexico. The ministry will continue even though the way that we minister is subject to change as we follow the Lord. Thank you partners for the depth of love that you have for this ministry.
