Pricila came to live at Casa del Rey seventeen years ago as a baby. She suffered from encephalitis, resulting in brain damage as an infant. Angelica and many of her sisters worked with her extensively, so that she is able to get around, talk, and express her will. Many of the people who visited Casa del Rey while it was open as a children’s home remember her. She is growing into a young woman now, however it is clear that she will not be able to live without support from caretakers. Her sister, Mague cares for her daily needs. They are both happy with the arrangement. Both of them are supported by the ministry under the supervision of Angelica Recio. Pricila has several seizures per day, so she must be watched carefully. Her medicine and medical care costs between $300 and $500 per month, as it has been for many years. Even at seventeen, she still enjoys Dora the Explorer, but we won’t tell anyone. Thank you partners for remembering her. She and Mague will probably always be with us. Everyone at the home loves her and cares for her.
