This story is from just before Adolfo’s van broke beyond repair (and our partners generously sent money for him to find a new one). He is shopping for the appropriate van now. I will announce when he has purchased it, and we will all celebrate. Adolfo’s team brought food and supplies for the poor to the Bread of Life church. The pastor and congregation invited people to come and hear the Gospel. Food and useful items were distributed to meet the needs of the people. Thank you for helping to make this possible! God provides, but he has chosen to use people as the channels.
Mexico has suffered from COVID-19, causing the mask advisories to be strongly encouraged. The problem is insulin resistance due to diet and lifestyle. The Mexican diet is high in fats, carbohydrates, and salt, but the pork fat is particularly damaging. Diabetes is more of a fat quality disease than it is a sugar disease. This magnifies the effect of COVID. We are using radio and word of mouth to teach people how to care for themselves so that an infection never escalates to hospitalization.
This gathering is a ministry to children. Thank you for helping the pastors and team in gathering and reaching them.
